“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive: and to so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”- Maya Angelou
After a few years of finding every excuse in the book NOT to try CrossFit (it’s too expensive, I don’t have time, I’m not in shape enough to do that, my kids need me, I love running on the treadmill for 30 mins and doing Body Pump class every single day and not seeing any results ….. Blah blah blah), I finally came to a point where I was ready to be challenged. I had friends who were doing CrossFit and I loved seeing their results. Watching their bodies change and the progress they were making was enough to get me in the door, and that is where the love affair began.
I’ve been doing CrossFit style workouts for the last 9 years and have been coaching (CF-L1) for the last 6. The community, the camaraderie, the workouts, the results, the empowering confidence I have gained has changed my life. What started out as a fun hobby has now turned into my career, my passion, my soul. I love coming to “the gym” (I don’t call it work), to help others realize their potential, both physically and mentally, and help them become the best versions of themselves.
Additionally, I am a Registered Dietitian. I received my BS at the University of California, Davis and then completed a Dietetic Internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After working 17 years in dialysis, I had the opportunity at CrossFit Roseville to help clients with their nutrition. I’ve learned so much through the years about the true impact nutrition has on performance and overall health. I love assisting and encouraging clients in a more preventative setting, whether it be to compete, lose weight, gain muscle, or just improve their overall health.
