Dave started doing functional fitness in 2014 at FCCF. He began coaching after earning hisCrossFit  Level 1 Certificate in 2017 because he wanted to help others with their fitness journey. In 2024 he earned his CrossFit Level 2 certificate and continues to help the athletes at Powerhouse Fitness. 

Dave and his wife, Monique, have three children who also enjoy being active. For his “real job”, Dave is an owner, along with his brother, Anthony, of Sacco & Sacco Insurance Brokers. They are independent insurance brokerage in Folsom specializing in insurance, benefits, and bonds for businesses. Dave is also a Past President (2011-2012) and active member of the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom.
